Southgate Baptist Church welcomes Pastoral Candidate Pastor Bobby J. Hile and family
As was announced December 2011 in an introductory brochure, we are pleased to welcome Pastor Bobby Hile as he candidates for the position of Senior Pastor from January 21–29, 2012. His wife Sara and children Abigail, Andrew and Christopher will accompany him. Please make them feel welcome!
As you may recall, the Pulpit Committee developed a pastoral profile with input from the congregation which proved to be very helpful in keeping us focused on the qualities and characteristics most valued by the Southgate family. Pastor Hile stacks up extremely well to the master list including experience, leadership, sincere commitment to missions, a family orientation with a heart for children’s ministry, strong biblical preaching, and will be a good fit to lead and work with our excellent team of associate pastors.
As was noted in the January 8 worship folder, Pastor Hile will preach in the morning services on Sunday, January 22, 2012, and again on Sunday, January 29, 2012. You have many opportunities to interact with Bobby at various venues throughout week. Please see the worship folder insert and schedule and plan to join him when he participates in a venue with which you are affiliated.
Sunday evening, January 22, will be a question and answer time and a reception open to all families attending Southgate. To help with the reception, we ask that families with last names starting with A-M bring finger sandwiches and those starting with N-Z bring desserts.
