Purpose Statement

To worship God corporately and privately with all that we are – mind, emotions, will, and body – for all that He is; realizing that the chief end of man is to glorify God by enjoying Him forever.

Philosophy of Ministry

  • We claim the Bible as the final authority and ultimate resource for a worship ministry, and strive to build all areas on a scriptural foundation. (Psalm 138:2; Isaiah 40:8; Hebrews 4:12)

  • We believe that biblical worship is characterized by unity in the body of Christ, always working to build up and never destroy. We encourage all participants in this ministry to serve with an attitude of grace and love with unity in mind. (Psalm 34:3; Psalm 133:1; John 17:23)

  • We believe that worshipping God is the divine privilege and responsibility of every believer, as well as a function of the organized church. We seek to facilitate both private and corporate worship as defined in scripture. (Psalm 32:11; Psalm 33:1; Psalm 111:1; Hebrews 10:25)

  • We believe that in biblical worship, questions of worship forms, liturgy, musical styles, and abilities are non-issues compared to the heart. We purpose to nurture “heart-attitudes” of lordship, humility, and obedience before God as we worship. (Psalm 24:3-6; Isaiah 66:2; Matthew 15:8-9; John 4:23-24)

  • We believe that worship is to be participated in by all regardless of age, talent, or any other criteria. We seek high congregational involvement and reject “spectator worship.” (Psalm 5:11; Psalm 95:6)

  • We believe that a direct correlation exists between spiritual maturity and the capacity to worship God acceptably. We seek to train and disciple those in the Worship & Music Ministry on all levels. (Ephesians 1:15-18; Ephesians 4:11-16; 2 Peter 3:18)

  • We believe that the Worship & Music Ministry exists as a congregation within the large body. We seek to provide an opportunity for fellowship and pastoral care for all who are involved. (Romans 12:9-15; Ephesians 4:25,32)

  • We seek to provide training and music educational opportunities for all who desire to learn to sing or play. We desire to see everyone discover and use his or her musical gifts for God’s glory. (Psalm 33:3)

  • We strive to accomplish the work of the Worship & Music Ministry with the highest degree of excellence and integrity, and with humble acknowledgement that all enabling comes from God’s grace and provision. (Jeremiah 9:23-24; Psalm 115:1; James 4:6,10; 1 Peter 5:5-7)
