It's not easy being a godly man in this world. Family, friends, work, hobbies, projects - everything around us is calling for our attention, it seems. Southgate's men's ministry is aimed at providing direction to the Rock that can hold our anchor through all these currents. The wide selection of activities offered will meet every man where they live and challenge them to take the next step toward God.

Southgate Security

We take the security of our congregation very seriously at Southgate. We need a few more highly dedicated men to join the Southgate Security Team. To learn more about this ministry and the level of commitment needed, please contact Jason Naill, Dave Dingeman or Greg Rice.

Appalachian Trail Backpacking/Hiking Trip

A small group of men and women from Southgate will be headed for the Harper's Ferry area in West Virginia the week of 6 - 13 June for a backpacking adventure. Some of the hikers would like to borrow backpacking equipment for the trip. If you have any backpacking/camping gear to loan, please contact Dan Cecil by calling (937) 206-2970 or emailing . He'll get providers in touch with those needing equipment.

Believer's on Bicycles (click for more info)

While this isn't a "Men's Ministry" it attracts a lot of men from Southgate. Pick up a brochure in the church foyer or contact Dan Hepp for additional information.

Small Groups (click for more info)

This is one way to make a big church smaller. It could be an Adult Bible Fellowship on Sunday morning before church, a men's accountability group meeting in someone's home each week, or anything in between. Wherever you are in your spiritual journey, you should be able to find a small group that will meet your needs. Pick up a brochure in the church foyer and see what interests you.

The Agency

This is a huddle for older fathers and grandfathers to encourage younger fathers to stay at the stuff in leading their homes! All men are encouraged to be a part of this experience.

D-Day Men's World Badminton Championship

  • Sat 6/6/09, 10:00 am - 1:00 PM, $10 with lunch at 12 pm

Golf Outreach - Sat 8/15/09

  • Sat 8/15/09 starting at 12 pm
  • Eighteen holes of golf at Locust Hills Golf Course on the Locust (Red) Course with a cart, and a delicious meal
  • Door prizes: Drivers, rescue woods, wedges, golf bags, towels, hats, umbrellas, gift cards, and other great items to win. You just need to be there!
  • Come early! Some contests will be going on before the outing to win prizes!
  • Cost for the outing per golfer (Golf, cart, food, drinks, and gifts)
  • $45.00 for sign up and payment before 8/1/09

  • If you have some men's ministry related news you'd like to get out to the men of Southgate, please email it to Dan Cecil and he'll include it in a men's ministry news emails to men in the church. If you know of men's Bible Studies looking for new members or a new men's Bible Study that is forming and you would like to advertise that, please let him know that as well.
  • If you are not getting men's ministry news emails from Dan and would like to, please let him know and he will add you to the distribution list. The goal is to send one or two emails per month to keep the men of Southgate informed of men's ministry-related news.
