Helpful Information

Times listed are the departing times. Please arrive about 10 minutes prior with your bike in good mechanical condition. Rain and/or bad weather will cancel most rides. Please visit the BOBrides website for up-to-date information, rain dates, and cancellations.

Riders under 18 must wear a helmet. Riders 18 and over should wear a helmet. Bike gloves, eye protection, water bottles, and basic tool bags are also recommended for all riders. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Dan Hepp at 323-5317 or .

2011 Fall Riding Schedule

September 17 — Hockhocking Adena Bikeway Ride. Depart at 8 am from Springfield and drive to Nelsonville. Ride the bikeway along the Hocking River to Athens, eat lunch, and return to Nelsonville. Ride distance is 40 miles round trip. Car pool available. Contact Dan and Cindy Hepp.

October 1 — 10th Annual Fall Foliage Ride from Springfield to Cincinnati. Depart at 8 am from Southgate Baptist Church and enjoy the 62 miles to Loveland on the Little Miami Scenic Trail. Rest stops are scheduled about every 15 miles and there is van/trailer support for those desiring a shorter ride. After an early supper, we will return to Springfield by bus, van, and trailers.  A $10 registration is required by Sep 25. Contact  Dan & Cindy Hepp.

Repeating Rides

Tuesday Evenings—Fitness or Fun Ride
Your choice of two rides that depart at 6:30 pm, Tuesday evenings from the Villa Road Staging Area. Some choose the fast ride, organized by the Champion City Cyclist, and others choose a more relaxed ride to Urbana and back. No ride leader per se, just show up and ride.

Thursday Evenings—Family Fun Ride
Join the Cramer family for an easy path ride each Thursday evening. Contact Jim and Jeanne Cramer, 324-1195, for starting times and locations.
