The Bible Tells Me So.
The God who is there is a God who speaks. And when he opens his mouth we get a sense of his great wisdom. God is a genius. We are experiencing that together these days in worship. We are taking some time to address topics from God’s book and make his perspective our own. If we are going to be planted in our new Master, we must get our hands around God’s great plan for setting the world aright. If we are going to grow toward maturity, his way of approaching life must be learned from his book. Knowing Jesus has always been about taking up his life as our own. Christianity is a relationship spawning a whole new way of living. If we are to work toward flourishing, it will take nothing less than our minds and hearts preoccupied with the genius of God revealed in the scriptures. It will be our willful incarnation of the genius of God given in the Bible. “But by His doing you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God,” 1 Corinthians 1:30. The Bible tells me so!
