Job Overview
The Worship Leader provides oversight through music to help Southgate Baptist Church make and multiply disciples through Christ-centered, biblically faithful worship. This role partners closely with the Senior Pastor to plan and lead weekly services while shepherding and developing worship teams.
Key Expectations & Qualifications
Serve faithfully as a church leader—shepherding, equipping, and protecting the church in alignment with 1 Timothy 3:1–7 and Titus 1:5–9.
Plan and lead Sunday worship services (serving as primary worship leader at least 75% of the time) in partnership with the Senior Pastor.
Recruit, develop, and oversee worship volunteers, musicians, and sound/AV teams with clear communication and encouragement.
Demonstrate strong musical skill, personal care, theological depth, and proven leadership ability.
